I had meetings with colleagues. First up is Kay. We first met when she apologized to me. One Saturday at the Peoria library, I went to sit at my regular table, but it was taken. No big deal, I went to another location. The next day, I was at the Glendale library looking for a table. When I finally got seated, Kay came over and apologized for taking my spot yesterday. We had a brief but pleasant conversation. Kay was studying for her Project Management Professional (PMP) certification. Over the next several weeks, whenever we see each other, we would catch up. Once Kay completed her PMP, I rarely saw her. We recently met for coffee and talked about what is going on personally and professionally. Next was Ron. His son used to attend the Karate school. Ron and his family live a few blocks over in my subdivision. We meet twice a year, usually at Mercer’s Restaurant. He works in Information Technology and has good stories. We talked about Artificial Intelligence and managing people. Two meetings with good conversations.
