New Year's Day

There is a quote that I love: 'whatever you do on New Year's Day, you'll do often in the coming year!' Out with the old and in with the new. The morning started with Diamond Dallas Page morning yoga. A shade over 10 minutes of dynamic stretching to warm up the muscles and bones. Two cups of flavoured applesauce and drove to Paloma Regional Park for a Holiday Hiking session. I was there on Christmas Day, and I wanted to go back and travel a different trail. This time I went East along the Ridgeline trail. I traveled uphill without stopping: 1.4 miles in 30 minutes. Returning I slowed down and took pictures. I did not see any other hikers until I was going downhill. Afterwards, I went to the Waffle House for a late breakfast. One of the wait staff remembered me from Christmas Morning. I had the All-Star Breakfast. I arrived at my house and took a nap! Later I did household chores, updated this website, and worked on my dissertation. Reviewed my Tang Soo Do Karate sword, staff and hyungs. I watched movie Jackie Brown (1997). I have not seen Jackie in a dozen years. A light dinner of Ramen noodles. Overall, a great way to start the new year and I am ready to conquer 2026!
