Slowly but surely my school studies are going well. I finished one of my milestones: I conducted 18 interviews. All were strangers. I found three via a paid research company and the rest via 'snowballing:' asking participants if they knew others that meet my demographics and would contribute to my study. I offered a participant incentive and an additional incentive if a person referred would complete my study. Interesting, one participant decided to waive their incentive. My first two sessions were not the best (novice interviewer). One time I forgot to record video and a second time I thought video was being recorded. All interviews have audio recordings and transcripts. Ultimately, I got a ton of great data. Next step is to sort through the data and continue the coding process.
